Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival in Sarajevo and City Walking Tour

  • Meet your guide at the airport and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in Sarajevo
  • Free time to relax and refresh after your journey
  • Traditional Bosnian lunch at a local restaurant (included)
  • In the afternoon, join your guide for a 2-hour walking tour of Sarajevo’s Old Town
  • Explore Baščaršija, Latin Bridge, Sarajevo City Hall, and sacred sites of multiple faiths
  • Learn how Sarajevo became a symbol of coexistence, conflict, and cultural richness
  • Evening free at leisure

DAY 2

Jajce and Travnik – From Royalty to Viziers

  • Morning departure from Sarajevo
  • Explore Jajce – once the royal capital of the Bosnian Kingdom
  • Visit the majestic Jajce Fortress, admire the urban Pliva Waterfall, and stroll around the wooden watermills at Pliva Lakes
  • Lunch break in Donji Vakuf – enjoy authentic Bosnian cuisine
  • Continue to Travnik – the city of Ottoman viziers
  • Visit the vibrant Šarena Džamija (Colourful Mosque) and climb Travnik Castle for panoramic views
  • Return to Sarajevo in the evening

DAY 3

Bridges, bazaars and waterfalls of Herzegovina

  • Morning departure from Sarajevo, following the scenic Neretva River
  • Stop in Konjic – visit the historic Ottoman bridge and stroll through the Old Town
  • Visit Kravice Waterfalls – enjoy the natural beauty and time for photos or light walking
  • Explore the historic village of Počitelj – climb the fortress for panoramic views
  • Continue to Blagaj – visit the Dervish House (Tekke) beside the powerful spring of the Buna River
  • Lunch by the riverside in Blagaj
  • Arrive in Mostar for a 1-hour guided walking tour
    – Visit the UNESCO-listed Old Bridge (Stari Most)
    – Explore the Old Bazaar and see the Crooked Bridge
    – Learn about Mostar’s unique blend of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian heritage
  • Free time in Mostar for coffee, shopping, or relaxing by the river
  • Return to Sarajevo in the evening

DAY 4

Divič and Lunch by the Lake

  • After breakfast, visit the Tunnel of Hope (Tunnel Museum) – the lifeline of Sarajevo during the 1992–1995 siege. Walk through a preserved section of the tunnel and gain insight into daily life during wartime through powerful stories and archival footage.
  • Continue to Trebević Mountain, once part of the 1984 Winter Olympics, and now a peaceful escape overlooking the city. Stroll along the abandoned Olympic bobsled track and take in panoramic views from one of Sarajevo’s most symbolic peaks.
  • Return to the city for lunch break, some free time to shop for souvenirs, explore hidden corners of Baščaršija, or enjoy a relaxed coffee break.
  • According to your flight time, transfer to the airport and farewell from Sarajevo – taking with you not just photos, but real stories and memories from Bosnia.
